Hello Pierz Community!
My name is Tony Andres, I am a proud Pierz Healy graduate and am very pleased to be back in the area to serve the students of Healy High and the community as the Assistant High School Principal. I received my first degree from Bemidji State University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Management Emphasis. I moved back home to Pierz and was the Club House Manager at the Pierz Golf Course for two summers. (2007, 2008)
I returned to college to get a business teaching license, which I obtained from Concordia College. I was hired at Moose Lake High School as a business instructor in 2010 and worked there as a teacher, assistant football coach, head track and field coach, and advisor. Also, the last 6 years, I served as Moose Lake’s Athletic Director for the Moose Lake/Willow River athletic cooperative. During my time in Moose Lake, I enrolled at Minnesota State University, Moorhead where I received my Masters in Educational Leadership, as well as my K-12 Principal, District Superintendent, & Community Education Licensures.
This past spring the opportunity to move back to the area presented itself, and I am very happy that it has worked out. My wife, Saralyn, teaches 3rd grade at Pioneer Elementary and is the varsity dance coach. We have 2 daughters, Kaelyn (6) and Henley (4). Kaelyn in in kindergarten and Henley will be attending pre-school this fall. In our spare time we enjoy lots of family time. Sara’s family lives in Willmar and this move allows us to be much closer to both of our families.
I enjoy playing golf, camping, relaxing near or on water, and the everyday joys of being a father.
I am very proud to be working for a strong and vibrant community. I look forward to the challenge of keeping Pierz Public Schools as one of the best districts in the area!
Feel free to contact me at any time.
