Ms. Stephanie Andres, Math Teacher at Healy

I am Stephanie Andres, and this is my fourth year at Pierz. I am currently teaching 9th and 10th grade Geometry, Financial Algebra, and Algebra I. Along with my teaching duties, I am also a volleyball coach and the Washington DC / New York trip advisor. On a professional level, I am a part of the AVID team and a technology coordinator. As a teacher and advisor it is my goal to help my students understand that you may not find value in everything you are asked to do, but school is a place for you to find and explore your passions.
A little bit about my background. I grew up in Isle, a small town about forty minutes from Pierz, on Mille Lacs Lake. I have one younger brother. Our summers were spent on the lake fishing, swimming, and doing all sorts of water sports, all of which are still a main part of my summer hobbies. After graduating, I attend Concordia College – Moorhead where I earned my undergraduate degree in Mathematics Education along with a Coaching Minor. After taking my job in Pierz, I also earned my masters degree in Technology Education.
My family is a huge part of my life. My husband Eric and I have three kids, Keagen (4) is in preschool, Trinlee (2), and one little bundle set to arrive in April. This year we bought a new house in Pierz and are in the process of renovating it. Along with our children we have a Golden Retriever named Kira. My extended family consists of my brother; four sister-in-laws; six brother-in-laws: and eight nieces & nephews -- all who live in the area and keep us busy year-round.
