  • The students will describe and have knowledge of the structure and function of a cell.
  • The students will have a basic understanding of atoms, elements, and matter.
  • The student will understand how the periodic table is organized and be able to differentiate between the different forms of matter.  They will also be able to compare and contrast the different elements and their forms.
  • The student will diagnose and therefore modify projects to help better understand the connection between force, motion, friction, and how it can affect simple machines.
  • The students will understand the engineering process of trial and error, be able to formulate questions, and apply knowledge to new situations.
