An Event Announcement from Natural Mental Health, Dr. Henry Emmons and Dr. Tim Culbert
I am reaching out in response to the great challenge presented by the coronavirus. I want to help tamp down the viral spread of fear. As you know, stress hormones and social distancing are a rough combination for the body, mind, and heart. Folks need access to supports that can bolster their immune system and their overall resilience.
Our team at Natural Mental Health is responding to this crisis by offering a free program called “Calm In The Time of Coronavirus: An Online Resilience Retreat.”
Beginning Wednesday, April 1 at 7:00 PM CST, I will lead a weekly Facebook Live gathering. We will discuss how to use lifestyle medicine, mindfulness skills, and heart-opening practices to stay resilient and connected. Dr. Tim Culbert will also share his pediatric expertise for parents who want to know how to help their kids through these hard times. We will also have a Q&A at the end of each session.
Additional support will be offered through the week via mind-body practices, email support, and social media conversations. We’d also like to share any relevant offerings that you may have or may know of to help folks build resilience during this time. These offerings will be highlighted in an “Additional Resources” section of our website.
