August 31, 2020
Dear Pierz Healy High School Parents and Students:
We are excited to welcome our students back to school after what has been a very interesting spring and summer. We are just very thankful that at this time we are able to have this building full of students and staff! We have spent a lot of time putting safety measures in place to continue in this model as long as possible but will need your help in order to do this. We know you have been inundated with information this summer to not only inform you of the steps we were taking to begin our school year in person but also the things we needed your help with in order to do that. I won’t repeat those things but rather want to inform you of what Healy will look like this fall for your student(s). We would typically share this information at our open house, but unfortunately we are unable to have all 7th-12th grade students and families in our building, so this letter will hopefully address some of those items. With all of the challenges we are facing, I wanted to share the procedures we have put in place to help with the safety of your students but also share things that we were able to keep very similar to past experiences.

We know there are things we may have forgotten and also measures that we try and discover they don’t work, so will need to change. Thank you in advance for your flexibility and patience. We will do our best to provide the best year possible for your student(s)! Thanks for everything!

- Cleaning & disinfecting more often (between classes, etc.)

- Students arriving after 8:10 should enter Door 2 (main Healy entrance).
Parent Pick-up During the School Day:
- (8:30 – 2:55) Students are picked up at Door 2
After School:
- (3:00 and later) Students are picked up outside the MAC (Door 22) after school. This will alleviate congestion in front and in back of our schools.
We know there are things we may have forgotten and also measures that we try and discover they don’t work, so will need to change. Thank you in advance for your flexibility and patience. We will do our best to provide the best year possible for your student(s)! Thanks for everything!
